Hof van Justitie
Hof van Justitie is the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustastius and Saba. It has been located in the historical monument from the Hof for 150 years. It is not only a place for justice, but also a place where the employees feel connected and developed an emotional attachment to the building. Unfortunately, since the building is very old, it creates health issues for its employees. But now, its time for a change! The Hof van Justitie is looking to move into a newer, more modern building and wants to bring his employees along.
A strategic relocation communication plan and Environmental design
The goal of this project was to guide the transformation from a historic landmark to a modern work environment with clarity and emotional connection.
The Court wanted to actively involve its employees in the relocation process and help them embrace this significant change. The central challenge was: how do you take people along in such a major transition—one that affects both identity and daily experience?
Success depended on delivering consistent communication, cultivating trust, and creating a sense of continuity across every touchpoint, from internal messaging to the physical space itself.
We developed a strategic communication plan centered around storytelling, consistency, and visual identity. A weekly digital newsletter delivered official updates, behind-the-scenes stories, and transitional insights that kept employees engaged and reassured. The concept “Hof ta bai bin” (The Court will be back) became the emotional thread across all internal materials.
Environmental Design
To complete the experience, we extended 4C Architecture’s interior design concept by developing environmental graphics that reflected the Court’s renewed identity. Typography, textures, and wayfinding design helped embed culture into the new building, shaping a seamless and human-centered workplace experience.

The Result
The strategic relocation campaign created transparency, excitement, and emotional alignment. Employees felt guided and included through a narrative-driven journey that bridged the old and the new. “Hof ta bai bin” became a rallying phrase across departments. The consistent visual language carried through into the building itself, turning the new headquarters into a place of pride. By combining a strong communication plan with thoughtful environmental design—anchored in 4C Architecture’s spatial vision—the transition became more than a move: it became a cultural transformation.
